Asphalt ovals, clay ovals, and road courses will host six WKA divisional series races this weekend. The action will be hot and go kart counts will be high for these events.

The Northeast Sprint Series will race Friday and Saturday in New York. This will be the second of five stops for this tour. This event will take place at the Avon Kart Track, a historic go kart racing venue located roughly 25 miles south of Rochester, New York.

The New York Asphalt Championship Series will compete further west in New York, at Chapel Hill Raceway. This event will take place Saturday and Sunday. This will compete the four races for this series.

The US 13 Kart Club in Delmar, Delaware will hold its second event of six on Saturday.

Moving further south, Springridge Raceway in Mississippi will host the Deep South Sprint Series. This will be the fourth race for this series.

In the Sunshine State, Volusia Speedway Park will host the Florida Divisional Dirt Series for the second time this season. The series will run six races this season, with this being the third. This race will be on Saturday.

The Georgia Divisional Dirt Series will make its final stop of the season at Dexter Raceway this Saturday. This series will be at Dawgwood Speedway in August, and will end up at Hurricane Raceway on September 25.

Firestone Tires and the World Karting Association (WKA) present the Georgia Divisional Dirt Series Race #4 — The Summer Sizzler sponsored by Ultramax Racing Chassis. Fast time awards sponsored by Chase’n Race’n Illustrated. The big event will take place at Laurens County Speedway in Dexter, Georgia.

The following go kart racing divisions will race for $300 to win, $125 for second, and $75 for third. There is a sixteen kart minimum and $30 entry fee for these classes.

  • The ARC Racing Box Stock Heavy division
  • The Flathead Pro Stock 360 division
  • The Harrell Racing Engines Flathead Super Heavy division
  • The TJ Newton Motorsports Flathead Heavy division
  • The Ron’s Kart Shop Animal Heavy division (Animal engine only)
  • The Jamie Miles Motorsports Junior Sportsman 2 Animal Light division

All other classes (excluding Beginner Purple) will compete for $175 to win, $75 for second, and $25 for third with a 12 kart minimum and $25 entry fee.

There will be additional fees for transponder and insurance.

Mufflers are required in all classes. There is an open tire rule in all classes except for Box Stock (Maxxis EL only). Box Stock builder prepared Heavy will remain open tire rule.

The gate fee for this even will be $15 for adults. Admission for children 6 and under is free. Reserved parking is $15 per spot.

Gates will open Friday, June 4 at 5:00 pm. Registration and safety tech will take place from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Gates will close on Friday at 9:00 pm.

Gates will reopen Saturday, June 5 at 7:00 am. Registration and safety tech will take place from 7:15 am until 11:00 am. Practice gets under way at 9:00 am SHARP.
