Pineora Kartway will host the South Georgia Maxxis Series race number 3 on June 12, 2010.
This race will pay $1000 to win in Box Stock and Flathead Stock. The minimum weights for these classes is 375 pounds. Second place will pay $200, third will pay $100, fourth will pay $75, and fifth place will pay $50. There is a $75 entry fee for each class. There is a 20 go kart minimum in the Box Stock class, and a 15 go kart minimum for the Pro Stock Flathead class. If the minimum is not met, the payout will be 80% payback. Clones must run with Maxxis EL tires and a stamped shoe type clutch.
The Pro Animal and Junior Pro classes will compete for $500 to win in each class. Second place will pay $200, third will pay $100, fourth place will pay $50, and fifth will pay $35. The minimum weight for Pro Animal is 375 pounds. Junior Pro is for 8-12 year old racers only, and must run a Flathead engine with blue restrictor plate. There is a $60 entry fee for each class, and a 15 go kart minimum. If the minimum is not met, the payout will be 80% payback.
The gates will open at 10:00 am. Practice gets under way at 12:00 pm. Qualifying begins at 3:00 pm with feature races to follow.
Admission for this event is $15. Reserved parking is $10. Non-reserved parking is $5.
Participants in Pro classes must also participate in a point class. Here is more information on the classes.
- Rookie Beginner – Flathead or Box Stock, purple restrictor plate
- Purple A – Flathead only – 8-10 years old, 265 pounds minimum weight
- Purple B – Flathead or Box Stock, 8-10 years old, 265 pounds minimum weight, Box Stock must run stamped shoe clutch and any Maxxis tire
- Blue A – Flathead only, 10-12 years old, 290 pounds minimum weight
- Blue B – Flathead or Box Stock, 10-12 years old, 290 pounds minimum weight, Box Stock must run stamped shoe clutch and any Maxxis tire
- Junior Restricted Gold – Animal 320 pounds with the Gold .505 inch restrictor plate, Flathead 290 pounds with the Gold .575 inch restrictor plate, Box Stock 320 pounds with no restrictor plate, 12-15 years old, , Box Stock must run stamped shoe clutch
- Stock Light – 320 pounds, flathead only
- Stock Medium – 350 pounds, flathead only
- Stock Heavy – 375 pounds, flathead only
- Animal Super Heavy – 400 pounds, no driver weight rule
- Animal Medium – 360 pounds
- Junior Box Stock – minimum weight 290 pounds, 8-14 years old, 16 tooth front driver, any stamped shoe clutch, Maxxis EL tires
- Box Stock 360 – 360 pound minimum weight, 15 years old and up, 16 tooth front driver, any stamped shoe clutch, Maxxis EL tires
- Box Stock 400 – 400 pound minimum weight, 15 years old and up, 16 tooth front driver, any stamped shoe clutch, Maxxis EL tires
All Box Stock engines must conform to AKRA rules as specified in 2010 manual.
The entry fees for point classes will be $45. Pro class entry fees will be $75 except Pro Animal – $60.
